Bruh, takes me 30 min to cross the street even if the road is closed because safety first!
Also, I wear socks in 100 degree weather when my mom tells me to wear socks, because them be the rules.

Churners? SUB chasers? or both?

Look, the mods are pretty similar to the regular crowd here: mainly good decent people, some you would cross the street to avoid, a few you would run back the way you came screaming to avoid, and a baby-killing cannibal (just one now). I'm sure the proportion of churners reflects the population here.
Well, this was a fun thread to read. How did people get so many cards? A few years ago I had over 50. I'm now down to 26 and plan to cut that in half within the next year.
I started with a couple of secured cards in order to rebuild (after they quit turning me down for secured cards). Then, there was the shopping cart trick. Then there were more store cards with small limits (Best Buy for $500, Home Depot for $500). Then I kept apping until they turned me down. Then I came to my senses and gardened for a while. I stopped gardening due to a life event which caused me to need a loan. Amazingly I discovered that by then my credit was healthy enough for PenFed to take me seriously. CLI's came regularly. I was also no longer enjoying tracking my spreadsheet full of cards, limits, opening dates, AAoA, etc. I stopped applying and trimmed the cards back. The only 2 inquiries I have now are on one report for a car lease I just opened. Other than that I haven't applied for any credit in 3+ years.
It really was fun for a while. I remember how absolutely excited I was for my Delta American Express approval. I had done a recon with Amex by fedexing them a letter and my promise to be the best customer ever and succeeded. Those were the days
Anyway, if you can manage it, track it and be responsible for it, then take it a bit slow (especially during the pandemic). Use pre-qual sites if you can, open them and pay close attention to them. It's no longer a priority for me so I'm slowly scaling back to what works for my lifestyle now. I think that target number now is 10.
