How to remove an AU from a credit report?

How to remove " closed by lender", "closed by consumer ", "charge off" "collection"

All paid in full few years ago.

 i am trying to help my GF to clean her report a little.

Has she tried disputing the account as 'not mine' Usually AU accounts are much easier to remove that joint.

I guess we'll just start disputing first, cause as I understand we can always write a Good Will letter, right?

I've disputed an AU before and had it removed.  No problem.  Experian and TU are easy, but Equifax I had to do a letter via mail.

Montana,

My daughter had me listed as an AU on one of her cards for emergencies. She missed one payment back in 2005 and it was dinging my credit report. I had her call the CCC last week and remove me as AU and ask them to remove the TL from my report. They removed me as AU but refused to remove the TL. I then disputed it with CRA as "Not Mine" and the next day it was gone. I have done this same thing about 4 times in years past with success. Good luck!

Now i just need to figure out a template for them letters to send. any thoughts on what i should include in letters? Or should I do online dispute with Credit Reporting Agencies ( CRA )? How did you do it?

You should be able to dispute online, but jsmith12345  is correct. Equifax likes to receive letter in mail with Driver's license and SS card. Sometimes I think they just try to make you work for whatever help they give you. LOL

I Did 2 time in 2007 very easy . in 3 weeks it should be gone montana
