Took 10 days for me. Just got it this past Friday.

the card has been in my chase account and I've already been charged annual fee. I called and they said it was prepared on 9/2 (approved 8/29) and I called 9/4 and still wasn't shipped but they said once it does that it will be rushed to me.
Then it's just a waiting game.

It's a metal card, so the manufacturing process is probably more involved. When I got mine in late December, some effect from the holidays, but it was something like a week-10 days to arrive, and I had a Marriott Rewards account already setup at application.
Metal??? Huh? Short of cutting it up, I'm 99% sure mine is plastic.
Mine took about 10 days for approval, with my rewards number included on the app, then a week to receive the card.
I've always thought this car was metal too? I really hope it comes early this week because of the 3k spend for 80k...it's always 8 days into it.
It's not unusual for the Marriott card to take a bit longer than most of Chase's cards to arrive. For me, it took almost a month from the night I was instantly approved; and the card even arrived without having a corresponding Marriott account number. This was last summer during the 70k points/1k spend promotion. CSRs are generally clueless about what stage of the process the card is in during calls until it actually ships, at least during my calls. Every other Chase card I have ever had (Freedom, SP, Amazon, Slate, Hyatt, United, IHG) arrived within a week or so, unlike the Marriott.
The Marriott card itself is about as 'metal' as the CSP is. They are very similar.

It's a thin piece of metal sandwiched between to pieces of plastic. They call it a metal core card.
I was charged the annual fee as well before receiving the card. I thought it must of been lost in the mail, so when i called they confirmed when it was shipped and it came 2 days later.
