How long does it take to get Target store card converted?

I was told (by a Target supervisor here in the old US of A) that Target was doing Mastercard upgrades from January through March of this year.

Nobody here has posted about this happening so far this year, so I assume that this was bad information.

I have a hard time believing that no one who posts on MYFICO would have been upgraded, IF upgrades were actually being done ?

Whenever comments like this come out you have to consider the source.   

Target upgrades to Mastercards do tend to happen in groupings; past experience has shown if MF members were being upgraded there would be threads about it.   Keep an eye on the Approvals section.

They have done conversions in January and August. Last year they did upgrades in January, before COVID hit, but didn't do any in August. There were a few this January, I remember @MoneyBurns being one of them.

Yes I was upgraded this year. I received the letter in January/February that CL was going to up $5000 (I think) and they were upgrading me to Target Mastercard. I just got my card last week or so.

I don't even put a ton of spend on it. Just niknacks and snacks from Target once/few times a month. I set auto pay and I do update income every now and then. 

I have no idea how they determine the upgrade.

Maybe they literally just pull names out of a hat with Drew Carey 😊
