I waited about.... 22 days and went from 17k to 25k on biz Marriott, although I did charge 4K and PIF in those days..
That was an auto-bump or your requested the CLI (HP)?
@Anonymous wrote:Only chase card I've gotten a CLI on was the Amazon Prime Rewards visa. My time with chase has been limited though but from what I've heard, I'm kind of nervous to ever ask for one because it could result in actually a credit limit decrease. Gonna just keep doin my thing and chillin. $10k on my CSR and 4.5K on my FU are enough or my needs.
I have never heard of this. Do you have any specific data points to support Chase issuing CLDs from CLI requests? I could see that being the case if someone had their Chase card maxed out or at very high utilization, as asking for additional credit at that point could be a red flag. However, if someone is sitting at single-digit utilization and/or always a PIF person I do not see Chase handing them a CLD simply for asking for a CLI.

I received CLI's on all of my Chase (former CSP, Freedom and CSR) cards on the 3rd statement. I also received a CLI on my CSR on the 6th statement. FWIW - I used my cards very hard and always PIF; my wife who has a Freedom and CSP does not use her cards as much and has never received a CLI.
There may be something else you're doing as well. I have consistently put 3k-15k a month on a single Chase card since early 2014 (30 to 50 transactions a month is usual) and have never seen an auto CLI from them. Unless your definition of heavy is 10-20k a month over hundreds of transactions, there's more to it than just spend.
I put $2k/mo on my Freedom and recieved an auto CLI of $500 5 months into having the card. This was also my first card and I have checkings/savings with them.
Generally if you want more limit from Chase, app for a new card and then reallocate your CL's.
I've gotten 2 auto-CLI's on my Freedom that I've had for a little over 4 years, 1K -> 2K, and 2K -> 4K. Never gotten a CLI anywhere else, don't know what triggered them either TBH.
That compares unfavorably to the 4 subsequent approvals: 22K, 22K, 22K, 8.5K.

Same. Had my Freedom Unlimited (formerly Freedom) since April of 2015, and no CLI, even with a HP.
I never gotten an auto CLI from chase, but I did use an HP for one and it was well worth it. My chase card started around 8k and my limit now is 20k plus. Was pending, but was transfered to the lending anyalyst or whatever they asked me a few question put me on hold and approved me for a pretty big jump in limit.

You requested a CLI with a HP? they denied it?

Correct. They denied my HP CLI, but a few months ago gave me $14K across two new cards.
There is no pattern with Chase, and who they choose to bless with the almighty CLI.
I have 3 Chase Cards. Freedom $25K, CSP $25.5K and Amazon Prime $15K. Only one I ever got an increase on was freedom.
