So, I'm curious how many here with WF cards got a auto CLI after one a year without asking them or touching it? Also did you see nothing after 6 months but did after a year?
Made a few theads about a WF CLI increase but never asked for a sample of how many got them without lifting a finger.
Not sure if this should have posted in Credit Card applications since this really isn't an application question.
I have never seen an CLI on my WF cards. I closed my graduated secured card because they wouldn't increase the limit even after graduation. But I still have 2 negatives so I'm not expecting much.
Not Me on (2) cards ![]()
8 1/2 years on Card 1 = nada
15 months on Card 2 = nope
No soup for me. ![]()
It's too bad no one here has seen an auto CLI from WF! Hopefully, you'll be lucky OP and get one! Good luck!
No auto here on 2 cards
. With a $3 billion slap on their wrist i dont expect any either![]()
Ding ding ding. One right here.
Opened the account in August 2018, got a CLI from $10K to 12K between my May and June 2019 statement. Never had a credit card with Wells prior.
I did however maxed the card out. My May balance was $9,924 at the time of CLI. I didn't pay any interest.
I requested a CLI on the account this past December from $12K to $18K and got it.

Ding Ding Ding my friend. Maxing might be the reason. I opened my 1st card on 2005. I believe it was a 5K limit. Kept it nearly maxed until I got my credit act together in 2015 - 2016. CLI to 10K, used most of it, another to 15K, used most of it....all the way to 25K. I was at 18K+ with a CL of 20K and although the payment made was mostly if not all interest, they gave me another 5K.
Fast forward, paid it down to $0 over a couple of years then started using again responsibly. Haven't seen anything since then. Guess I should be happy they didn't balance chase. I know my scores had to be >100 pts less when getting those increases than where they are now. So I app'd the Credit Wise in mid 2018 with less than 4% AGG UTL on other cards and 800+ scores, 5K CL. No CLI's.

Yes, I think it helps. Did the same with my Chase card and got an auto CLI after maxing it out and PIF when the 0% promo ended.
