BOA is usually a HP each time you hit the button. If they're doing it from SP then I would suggest spacing them every 3-6 months to make sure they're using updated info.

Hmm I requested one with them and it's a SP I've read other threads indicating it is a SP too that's why I was asking.
I'm pretty sure that you read incorrectly. CLIs with BOA are HPs afaik. Not sure where you read otherwise
Some folks have been offered a SP CLI directly from BofA. These are targeted and far and few in between. Most consumer initiated CLI requests will result in a HP much like Chase.

Very true, I have seen targeted SP offers but unless offered that it's definitely a HP.

I recently requested a CLI on my cash reward and was approved with HP........

Received 1K auto CLI from B of A few months ago. Hit the love button like 2 weeks ago and got a 4K increase.
It was a HP......Naturally.

That's so strange I requested a CLI and no HP though they had HP'd a few weeks earlier for a business card.
If they had a recent HP on file that's why you didn't see a new one... it's YMMV but not uncommon - I had the same experience back in January.
Under normal circumstances, though, a customer-initiated CLI with BoA is usually a HP.
