I've had no porbs with boa until today, had a $3k limit, paid bal to 15% last week, looked online this morning my cl was reduced by $400 mid cycle, dont get it or how they came up with that number, havent received a letter about the cld yet. Pay bal down get limit taken away I guess.. I opened an account with local cu online right after. Moving all my business to cu this month, goodbye big banks that dont value customers.

No disrespect but after all the storie's about BOA, Chase, Citibank I can't understand why anyone would still do business with those kind of bank's. It's only a matter of time before they get around to yous. Oh and in the next couple of yrs when their losses are even greater from the business loan's, It's gonna be even worse for ya. I would ditch em now and move on to credit union's who really treat their customer's the way they should be treated. There is this little bank in Louisiana called Liberty Bank and Trust its really a great bank small but better than any big bank in my eye. Interest rates are low I've got the Visa, and they have never raised the rate's to take advantage of the economy like other bank's I know. My rate has stayed at 9% for the last 3 yrs. I wish I could say the same for USAA and NFCU both got on the bandwagon and raised rate's before the new credit law took place. But My little bank in Louisiana never did so they get lots of love!
They still offer great products but they are starting to exibit traits like thebig banks. I'm glad you are happy with this bank. I went to there website and it seems they offer nice credit products at reasonable rates.![]()
Im sorry that everyone seems to be having problems with BOA . My exp with them has been nothing but positive . 2 years ago they gave me a 1k CL when i had no history . 7 months later i hit the love button and i went from 1k to 2.5k and then just a couple months ago i hit the button again and went from 2.5k to 3.5k . Ive carried a 900 balance for a few months when the CL was only 1k . I have paid in full i have had it up to about 1.6k or so recently and then pif .
i know this could happen to me just as easy as anyone else and im sure when/if it does.. ill be on here joining the BOA hatred bandwagon!

It seems that one of the reasons alot of people seem to dislike BOA is their behavior can be erratic. Has anyone formulated some general rules as to what to do to avoid CLD or AA from BOA?
Probably no different than what you should do with all the others. Use the card a lot PIF every month and don't apply for any new credit. Simple really.
