Vivacious10, the Simmons Bank card does not look bad, with the $0 BT fee it could work! Do you have them?
No. But it's on my list of cards I want to pursue when I come our of the garden.

Interesting, does this now mean that eligility to apply for the card is now limited to certain states but not others? I received my official e-mail approval notification e-mail from FNBO on 4/7/2015, after a prior online auto-approval on 4/4/2015, which would seem to indicate that states they are now disallowing new apps for could still be applied to for successfully as recently as 7-10 days ago?
I believe so. I messaged FNBO on Facebook to ask when they were opening up applications again, and was told that they're limiting it to states that they offer products to only.
Sorry to hear leoment Also thanks for mentioning the helpful update. Were you hopefully able to get in the door for an approval my friend, before the geographical restriction/scaleback though?

Looks that way, one would now have to live in their service area in order to apply for the card. I have 2 accounts with FNBO and I could have apped for the card on Sunday the last time I checked but not today its closed to my state.
Really sorry to hear about that gdale It's truly unfortunate that FNBO chose to limit the total number of apps for an excellent card like that, especially when there is such massive interest in it from people like you who would otherwise make great customers, for them

You'd think they could have at least have waited until the May 31, 2015 promotion end date they had originally listed on their website for the FNBO Amex 6.25% card, before turning away excellent potential new customers though....
Just a possible thought: do you think that FNBO might be amenable to taking apps over the phone, for states they are no longer allowing new apps to online? Anyway might potentially be something worth checking out, perhaps?

No this is not the way FNBO works, you have to be offered a pre approved card if you are outside their service area thats how I got in with them. I wasnt going to app for this card I thought I might try to switch the Amex I already have with them to this new card, I have not yet made a decision on this either.
Just found this excerpted snippet about FNBO locations, from their website:
"[FNBO]...locations [are in] in Nebraska, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota and Texas[.]"
ETA: Is it also perhaps possible though, if you are outside of their cited geographic location but already have an existing card with them, that you may still somehow be in the running for the 6.25% FNBO Amex? For example, i am not in the cited geographical region, but, my FNBO Maximum Rewards card was a PC from a former BoA card when BoA sold the portfolio. So can existing FNBO card members outside of the geography still possibly leverage their existing potential business relationships with FNBO, in their favor for obtaining the Amex?

Yep!

Edit: when I checked the status it now says "Review In Process". I hope I did not waste a HP
