Interesting Discover datapoint

Back in late October as i hit the luv button hoping to get a cli , i finally ,after a year with my account, got a 2 day review message instead of the ubiquitous 3-5 day message. As per usual with Discover, denied.

Recieved the letter today. I was astounded to find out that they actually tried pulling Equifax, whom i loathe, and seems all my creditors want to use for cli etc. They said due to my report being frozen i could try again in 7 days from date of this letter, which was from 24 Oct , which would have been 1 Nov, today letter came on 10 Nov.

Once again Disco and their love for Equihack. I mean they give us Fico 8 TU, Fico 8 Ex on Scoreboard and they are lame enough to want to pull the most inept cba there is to verify my credit worthiness. Seriously. CC, i truely feel you Smiley Wink. This is the final nail in the coffin for me. I may be wrong but dang Disco , decent spend , for my limit , good payment history and overall good credit management overall isnt enough i guess.

So apart from this curveball for me i guess my point for the data point is just be wary if you get a 2 day message and your credit reports are frozen, good chance you wont get that increase many of us hoped would be gotten from sping of our reports that you might expect they have access to.

Very interesting! I got a $7700 cli on my Discover about 2 months ago based on my TU. This must be very recent.

Lol, oldman, i am . This is from back in Oct when a few of us here actually got the review message. I believe Medicgrrl, Credit Curiosity, Benzman, and i all got it and i think we all struck out. Of all my smashes, i get maybe 3 letters ever lol. This dp makes me wonder if they had been able to access my Eq would they have hp me. HmmmSmiley Wink

Re: Interesting Discover datapoint

Well that is interesting...maybe that explains the constant declining for CLI on my card. Why you gotta be so difficult Discover?! Can't you love me without my reports??

Why are they even pulling it? I thought Disco did soft pulls for CLI

Re: Interesting Discover datapoint

Discover approved my secured IT Chrome card with a hard inquiry on EQ, not on TU as expected.

I have a denial letter at home for my first attemtped CLI in October, it referenced a TU score from September, not October.

Maybe the state we live in has some effect.  Or maybe they soft inquiry more than one profile but only are required to give a reason for AA based on any one bureau they choose.
