I got the Phillips/Conoco card on 11/16/07 and the Shell card 11/23/07 (both Citi cards) and neither has reported yet.

Does the Phillips/Conoco give cash back rewards. I sure spend a lot there!

I just have the plain-old cards. No rewards. Their MasterCard has 4% up to $50 reward. Citi wouldn't have me back then because of a collection (now gone). Now my utilization is too high (no job). Later this year when the cards are paid down I'm going to trade for the MC.

Re: Is Shell reporting now?

Phillips Conoco 76 has pulled out of the Arizona market which totally sucks because I was loyal to 76 !  Anyways, my wife got the original Unocal 76 card in 2004 before the consolidation of all three companies above sometime later.  Nonetheless, we applied for the Phillips Conoco 76 Mastercard ($6,000 Credit Limit ) because of the rebates.  However, we did not know they were leaving the AZ Market.

At the time, the reward program was 3% rebate on the tri-branded gas and 1% on other purchases with a $50 maximum rebate per month.

Since they left the market I obviously don't use this card but maybe once a year.  The current reward program now is 4% rebate on gas and 0.5% on all other purchases when your purchase total are less than $5,000 for the year and 1% for yearly purchases totalling greater than $5,000.

Even though we don't use the card its nice to have the open $6,000 credit limit for emergencies like car repairs, medical bills or whatever that may arise !

SHELL has came to Arizona and has saturated the market and there is basically one on every corner it seems.  With the Phillips Conoco 76 gone we decided to apply for the Shell Mastercard and got approved !

$6,000 credit limit, 5% rebate on all Shell gas purchases and Shell in store purchases.  5% rebate up to the first $100 of your daily Jiffy Lube Purchases and 1% for all other purchases.

To me, Shell has the best rewards program and if you purchase gas regularly you need this card !  We have only had this card for a year and our rebate total is already $205.

They don't give you cash back they credit your monthly rebate earned to your monthly statement which is nice.  This month I got a $18.50 statement credit ! Smiley Happy

Re: Is Shell reporting now?

I had the same problem when I initially got the card roughly 2 years ago. They would not report it for 4 or 5 months. I sent a secure message to customer service and they requested that I forward a letter to them with a copy of my credit report and they will update my credit file. I have not had any problems with them since. Even when I do not charge anything, they still report the card.

I hope this will be helpful.
