gc, many if not most store cc's have APR's in that range. Smiley Wink My Best Buy does, as does Penny's and Macy's.

Keep it. I got mine in November with a 200 CL. They recently raised it to 500 CL without a request from me. I look forward to the Target Visa in the future. If you use the card it will grow with you.

Me too.  I received my card in Nov and this month's statement said I was increased to 500cl.

Re: Is time for Target Card to go?

We had one, and recently trashed it. My only regret is that we cancelled it and then decided to not cancel cards to guard our CR better. We received the card about 3 years ago as a store card with a $500 credit limit. Sometime this last summer it changed to Visa and increased to $1000. Decided to cancel it because of the high interest rate and Target's reluctance to work with you. Most everyone knows it's impossible to get a CLI with Target, but try getting a lower APR. Think you can negogiate by threatening to cancel? Think again. Smiley Very Happy They're not interested in retaining you. Or at least they weren't with us, and we were excellent customers.

I love Target, just not it's Visa. Smiley Tongue

Concorduser, you know you want to keep the card. Everyone is using it. You know you want it.

Irony = the day you cancel the card, you get an offer in the mail to upgrade to a Visa.

Concorduser, you know you want to close the card. No one is using it. You know you don't want it.

Irony = the day you decide to keep the card, you will not get an offer in the mail to upgrade to a Visa.

Re: Is time for Target Card to go?

To be honest, Target Store card does not have much rewards to offer. Macy's / JC Penny excellent in that regard. I am not sure. I might close the card and replace its spot with Citi Dividends Amex Card. Or just leave it alone for another year and see what happens. It does not make sense to carry extra card every time before I goto store. Most of the time I happen to be in the store and not having the target card in wallet and end up using other card. I am not sure. We will see what next few months brings to this card.
