@Anonymous wrote:Seriously?!?! I never knew that!!! Thank you so much. This forum is golden. So if I got the $200 SUB, would the offer be for $50 (current welcome: $250) or did I mess that up?
Of course now you're going to make me think about this....
So, for instance when I got BCE I got $100, when upgrading I got another $150, 2nd upgrade another $250, and so on. Of course there's the prorated AF on top of it but, it's usually $40-$50 since they are times mid anniversary.
So, whatever the upgrade offer is, that's what you get when it's time to churn the card for a bonus.

haha thanks so much for the breakdown. Other than the fact I was nervous if I'd get approved for the BCE (old bad blood w/ AMEX), I wanted to test out the merchant codes before I went in on the deep end with an annual fee. To my pleasant surprise, all of the grocery stores I visit are showing the 3% reward so the BCP is just a no-brainer at this point. Get the SUB and the 6% back. Now what can I do to speed up time lol

Coma?
Take advantage of Amex offers. For some, these can be more lucrative than the rewards dollars, depending on your spend.
For instance one might be pay your cell phone bill with the card, get $10 back. Use up to 2X.
Pay your insurance bill, and get 10% off, up to $20.
10% off at Starbucks.
Spend $50 at such and such, get $10 back.
A few new ones come every few days.
LOL well I do need a nap
Thanks so much! I didn't know they updated the deals so frequently. The day I registered my account, I saw the deal on gas and filled up. Awesome perk and so underrated!
Congrats! IMO, subs are better than new cards 😂 but they normally come in pairs, can't have one without the other (in most cases) 😁
way to go, Chi-town!!!! ![]()
