I had a BK  since Oct-2005,and i am planning to apply for KHOLS cc .

So my question is  How many years my BK it has to be old in my cr before applying for it ?

My BK is 2005 and they have shot me down several times citing the BK as the reason.  I NEED A KOHLS CARD!!!!

no go , it's serviced by Chase, don't know if they do the 3 questions of death for a Store card

You have to be able to answer yes to the following statements:

Yes, my credit history is clear of bankruptcy. 

Yes, my credit history is clear of seriously delinquent accounts.

Yes, I have NOT been denied credit by Chase within the last 6 months.

Although, Kohl's and Circuit City do not have these questions on their website when you apply online.

They are BK friendly, but the BK might have to be several years old.............

I just got approved a couple days ago for Kohl's with a BK7 in 2003. 500 limit though. Pulled Ex 680. I have heard they want 4 years post BK

Chase also gave me a Circuit City store card this week for 1.5K, pulled EQ 667


Edit: No questions of Death on either app online.

I was approved for Kohls.  300.00 limit.  Bk chapter 13 in August of 05, 2 dismissed chapter 13's in 04, and 1 chapter 7 in 01.

Thanks to all of you for this info .

Now i am aware of their policy,and it seems to me that MACY'S has kind of the same practice,where BK it has to be 4 years old .
