Those of us with larger Amazon limits have long lamented the fact that the LUV button for a CLI is unusable and the only way to get an increase is to contact Credit Solutions.
Well, now that Synchrony has changed the Lowe's website to match, it appears to be the case there as well. I decided to take the $25k to $35k plunge last week, and noticed that Lowe's no longer allows you to ask for a specific amount. I got the 7-10 day message and got the same letter today that I have had from my Amazon card since raising it to $12k:
SYNCHRONY BANK has recently reviewed your request to increase the credit line on your Lowe's Advantage Card Account.
We are not able to assign the credit line you requested because it exceeds the amount of increase our policy allows.
Your credit line as of the date of this letter is $25,000.
Not sure what the LUV button max will be, but it looks like anyone wanting a really high line with Lowe's will be forced to call CS going forward.

Unfortunate, indeed. At least it was nice while it lasted.
Thanks for the info K. Good to know this.
