Macy's Upgrade

Congrats and thanks for the DPs. I called Macy's last week and was told the only way I could get the AMEX is if I opened a new account :/

I called and asked the same thing about 6 months ago and was told the same thing.

I never received anything in the mail for this upgrade, it was literally a banner at the bottom of the page.

When you were requesting the CLI on the Macy’s card, was a HP or SP?
I tried to request an increase yesterday from the $500 I had whenI got the card in May but it said they needed to HP.
Thanks also for the DP, as I wasn’t aware we can request a CLI every 30 days.

In my early Macys adventures i would get hps too. Then they became sp. I fico you not i once took a hp from Macys and got...$600

Well, since you took an HP for $600, it encouraged me to request the CL. I went ahead and submitted a CLI in the amount of $4500 to bring the total CL to $5000. I put my income of $120,000 and mortgage of 934.00 and was approved instantly. I did close my eyes when I checked the box for the HP and clicked submit with one eye open 🤣

So, I would say the HP was totally worth it!

All of my requests were soft pulls. I asked for $1,500 each time and they were approved with SP each time.

Big congrats @Anonymous . i would normally shoot for $5k increases and let them counter. Was it actually a hp though?

I am not sure, I didn't refresh the CB’s reports yet. I get Experian pull once a month for free so I will see when I pull it at the end of the month.

Its ok. I think you still should get alerts from Experian if your credit was pulled. If you got sp, try again in 31 days . Once you hit 25k, you will need to pull credit for sure snd most likely provide POI.
