Managing multiple cards

I have a few cards that I have either never used yet, or seldom use. How do all of you manage your cards?  Have any been closed from not using them within a certain period of time?

Re: Managing multiple cards

I haven't had any closed on their own yet- yet. but i'm interested if the logging into the online account has something to do with it. I haven't used a couple of my cards in like two to three years but I check into the account online once a month or so just to ensure things still look the same.

Good ol' Credit Karma, a bit of Mint.com and also obsessive log ins. Never had a late payment ever or had any of my cards get closed for inactivity.

Re: Managing multiple cards

Obsessive logins, maybe add Mint to the mix later.  I have yet to see a service that allows Synchrony bank cards to be checked (or any store cards).

As of right now I only have four, but they'll be more in the future.

Re: Managing multiple cards

I have the ultimate Excel spreadsheet that is totally awesome. Combine that with daily account logins and you'll be good to go. Managing multiple cards is work, but the key is to stay organized.

Re: Managing multiple cards

@MissMoni223 - how do you have your spreadsheet set up to assist you in keeping on top of things?  Mint.com only allows me to add some of my accounts as some do not allow the website to access the credit card websites. I'd like to make sure that I stay on top of them easily without having to log in every day to look at them. I don't have any issues keeping up with payments, but it would be nice to have a "one stop shop" where I can see them all.

Re: Managing multiple cards

I need to get on mint. I log into my websites like every two days and have everything plotted out on a homemade spreadsheet. I include: card name, issuer, limit, balance, utilization, due date, date open, bonus spend requirement and date due, then any notes related to CLI, reallocation, APR reductions, etc...
