As a DD Perks member, I got an email from Dunkin Donuts offering a $5 bonus every time I load $10 using masterpass. This is essentially 33% savings.
This quarter is Restaurants for Discover. I verified these transactions are coding restaurant, and because I am in my first year with one of my Discos, that bumps it to 10%, for an effective 53%.
The offer is good through 08/31/18, so I am hoping they keep their word and don't 86 my 53%.
First off, I never realized you could use MasterPass with non-MC cards; thank you for that!
This must be targeted? I have double-checked my email, and while I got the MasterPass offer back in December for load $10 get $10, that was a one-time thing. This would seriously save me $250 on purchases I'm making anyway if I had it!
UPDATE: Just signed up for MasterPass, added my Amex SPG, bought a new gift card for $10 and it's showing a $15 balance! Nice!
How do you sign up for Masterpass & do u have to get the email from DD first for the offer to work? My Disco card is also in its first year, but unfortunately since I'm in the middle of paying down a large balance on the card, I won't get much use out of this quarter for resturants
Also if I load $20 on the DD card does that mean I would get an extra $10 in spend?

Last night, I decided for $10 I was going to spend anyway, I'd just try it. There's nothing to sign up for and the offer is not targeted (hence my update). When you reload the card and pay with MasterPass, it automatically adds an additional $5 when you load $10 or more.
You can sign up for MasterPass here: https://masterpass.com/switchui/welcome
Once you complete that, open the DD app, go to your gift card(s), and click Add Value. Choose $10, then under "Other payment methods," choose Masterpass as your payment method and click Done. Sign in to MasterPass, click Continue, click Add Value. Congratulations, you have $15 instead of $10. (I just loaded $10 for the second time and now have a 2nd* gift card in my app for $30.)
* Dunkin' gift cards in the app can't have a value more than $100. If you click Manage Cards, you can click "Add DD Card" to add an additional card, and then if needed just add a new card every 6 days when you get to $90 (since a $10 load with $5 bonus would put the card over $100).
Answering your question, if you load $20, you will get $25. It is a $5 bonus every time you load $10 or more now through August 31st. It does not work with automatic reloads (so turn that off for the next 6 weeks if you have it on) and can be used once per calendar day (Eastern Time).
@Anonymous once again, thank you so much for posting this. I just did the math, and since I will do this every single day (as will DW), you have given us $540 in free Dunkin' Donuts over the course of 54 days!!!
@K-in-Boston: Thanks for the info, might test it out to see how it works. Would have been extra nice if it for Starbucks too.
**Just tried the link you provided & it doesn't seem to be working. I guess I'll go to their main site & sign up there. Thanks again.
Thanks for the tips!
I just signed up for DD Perks even though I typically go to Starbucks ![]()
I thought I was going to have to wait till my account was eligible after reloading the DD card for the first time, but it worked from the get-go. Loaded $10 to open an account and test, and I have a $15 balance. Plus, they gave me a free drink for signing up.
Perfect for tonight's travel!
This is a great deal if you are a DD fan. Even though I have multiple free drinks and can't each much of what's on the menu anymore (I think the egg white wake-up wraps are about it since bagels and croissants are loaded with carbs/sugar), I can still use the app for those times my wife and I are out early in the morning.
