Congratulations on your APR reduction!
Appreciate it!
My spouse received the same message as the OP yesterday, lowering their regular purchase APR from 20.99 to 11.99. The interesting thing, to me, is that their online approval originally showed 11.99, but the card was 20.99 when it arrived. Now, Disco seems to have reversed that decision.
You got guys got me curious, so I messaged Ms. Disco and asked for rate reduction. My credit is profile is much stronger now than it was when I initially applied.
They lowered my rate from 22.99% to 16.99%, so I'll take it!
Now if they'd just give me a CLI! 😂
Got the same message yesterday! Lowered down to 11.99. Interestingly, I just opened the card a month ago.
Congrats to everyone.

We are pleased to tell you that we have decided to lower the following Annual Percentage Rates (APRs)
on your account:
ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE (APR)
Purchases Prime + 8.74%, currently 11.99%V
V = Variable. Variable rates will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate.
This change is effective as of October 20, 2020. However, if you are currently receiving any lower APR
special assistance or benefit programs, the above-described new APRs will not apply to your account
until those other programs or benefits end.
Thank you for choosing Discover® Card.
Not sure if this is normal. I've had only one card, Cap1 and still has it's orginal apr. All my new cards have different rates
I just called Discover asking to reduce my APR from 16.9% to 11.99%. They countered with 0% APR for 18 months beginning tomorrow. I took it. I will be putting heaving spending in the next 6 months. With a Discover $45,000 CL, I will be putting at least $25,000 spend on this card. First will be a new DJI drone. And maybe a new sandrail!
I asked Chase to lower my APR and they wouldn't. So Chase lost out. I will still use Chase but only for small purchases.
Thats amazing, I can't even imagine that kind of spending power. Congrats
Actually glad folks are getting one of Discovers better/best rate tiers.. but now I dont feel special anymore... =) =)...
Have had this for awhile but good to see other folks are in the 11.99 slot (also realize this is in *addition* to a 0% offer i have on it right now)
