@nitrov wrote:I've heard so many great things from here about the generous CLs NFCU offers, so I decided to come out of the garden and app. My USAA FAKO for EX/EQ/TU is 749/722/739, respectively, I'm not sure how much off my FICO is, but I figured approval odds were good regardless. I apped for the Flagship Signature Visa and got approved for only $5000 when my avg. CL is around $7000 right now. I was pretty bummed.
I tried asking for more when I was told I was approved and was told that was the maximum I qualified for. I read on here someone had success with calling back a week later mentioning they wanted to transfer balances. Anyone had success with this or otherwise? Any tips for how I may be able to squeeze a better CL out of them or do I need to wait? I really don't want to have to take another HP just to get a CLI on this thing.
Any help is appreciated!
Very strange.. I got accepted for 7.5k when my max on other cards were 1.5k. Very low income college student too. I'm pretty sure they'll give you a good CLI sometime soon anyways.
COngrats! Now that is the NFCU we all know and love.
please keep us posted on the HELOC. I'm planning on applying for one in Oct.
Just got a letter today from NFCU explaining my high APR (15.49%) and turns out my TU FICO when I was approved came back a 684. With that in mind, I'm shocked I got a $20k CL with a 684 FICO! This is the same score that Discover was reporting, so I guess that's good confirmation that their score is accurate. Interesting data points in my opinion!
