NFCU Secured Card Graduation at 11 Statements

I have read the many posts regarding NFCU graduating secured cards on the 5th or 13th statement, but today when I logged onto my account my CL was $2000 vs. the $500 I secured it with.  Knowing this was a sign they had probably unsecured it, I used the online chat to confirm it had indeed been unsecured.  So, not sure if NFCU is changing the way they do things, but my first statement was 09/12/17 and on 07/12/18 it graduated, 11 statments.

In addition to my graduation, June 28th marked 1 year post BK discharge, so on July 1st I applied for the CashRewards card and was approved with a CL of $1000.  Like others I had tried around 6 months post BK, and again around 10 months but declined both times, the 1 year mark hit and the flood gates have finally opened.  Its also worth noting that in May (11 months post BK) I was approved for $2000 CLOC.  I had asked for $5000, but they offered 2, so I took it.

When speaking with the online rep today, I asked about combinding the cards so I could have a $3000 CL on the Cash Rewards card, she said I could with an Emessage request, just not sure if closing my now unsecured card will hurt my score.  Your thoughts?

Congrats on the unsecure. I would not combine and wait til your cash rewards is pass 91 days and have had at least 3 statements cut to ask for a cli. Preferably right after and AR(to hopefully get a sp cli). I would also pc the nrewards to a gorewards for the better points structure...
