Everything I have asked them for (and trust me, even I know it's been a lot to ask for), they have given to me...with no hesitation. As soon as a finish paying off the sub-prime cards (that also helped me during my times of financial/credit distress), I'm closing them (have had them all for 2 years now) and just going with NFCU. I've managed to get a huge line of credit and two credit cards from them (totalling $8K in CL) and whenever I have asked for an increase, they haven't blinked...not once. They asked for proof of income twice (when I initially applied for both the LOC and the first card), but after that, nothing. Just approved, approved, approved!! The service has been nothing short of incredible! No need to hesitiate...just GO FOR IT! :-)
Wow! What a reassuring posting. Hearing your experience with NFCU does make me believe that I have a real shot of maybe getting some type of approved credit limit with them. A family member was approved for a secured card with NFCU and I couldn't believe all the various rewards which that card comes with.I have never heard of a secured card that offers rental car collision protection and has three different types of that protection. NFCU secured card allows the card holder to rent a car and do so without having to purchase the rental agency's insurance.Amazing! NFCU really is a step up compared to all the other CCC. I want to get a home mortgage with them a few years from now. Will start with apping for a CC in a few weeks once my trade lines sync to my new address. Tnanks for your post.

I admit to being overly cautious. Comes from being turn down a lot. I think I have a chance of being considered for approval.Maybe! Just want to eliminate potential barriers to that goal. Besides, that NFCU pre-selection for CC appeared on my profile the first night I accessed the website but I haven't seen that particular offer since then. So I might as well wait till it is re-offered. Maybe a pre-selection offer might help my chances for potenial approval.
