NFCU cli on new card...

So, I was approved for a gorewards card with a $5K limit about a week ago.  Still haven't received the card yet, but it shows up on in my accounts online.  Curiosity got the best of me and I hit the love button seeking $15 cli.  Got 3-5 day message.  Just got a secure message requesting paystubs.  I sent them and spoke with a rep who assured me that no HP was needed since this was part of the same application I did last week.  Either way, I figure it was worth a try.  Off to the garden I'm going!  lol

Re: NFCU cli on new card...

Welcome to the forums!!

I'm not sure if the CSR gave you the correct info. The 3-5 message has always seemed to indicate a HP. I would check your report for verification. But congrats on the nice CL. Be ause they asked for your pay stubs, my guess is they just want to check some info before they grant the cli. Ymmv. Good luck!!

HEHE... Love it! and sounds like pretty good chance you are getting it if income supports!

and for other poster, In this case I think the normal rule of 3-5 day would be another HP is overrode because it is a brand new app already so basically a recon is being done... should be no pull.

Re: NFCU cli on new card...

I know the 3-5 day message usually triggers a HP, but the rep said it's one hard pull per application, my request for cli was considered part of the same app so apparently no HP.  I think I would have gotten a notification from Equifax by now (I subscribe to their monthly monitoring) if they'd HP'd me.  I will keep an eye on it though.  So excited.  Can't wait to get a final answer.  I'll update with results.

Re: NFCU cli on new card...

**Update**

Apparently my request for increase from $5K to $15K was countered for $14K.  Still no official approval, but I just checked my accounts on line and my gorewards account is showing a $14,000.00 CL.

Rep was correct, they did not pull another report for the recon.

I will be gardening til January 2014.

Re: NFCU cli on new card...

Thanks Dodfire!  It's been a long road to recovery, but I'm feeling pretty good right now.  Myfico and other credit forums have helped me get my financial house back in order after a tremendous set back a few years ago.
