NavyFed CLI question

Question for you all.
The AR for NavyFed seems to have just hit and technically my card doesn’t hit the 3 month mark until two weeks from now. Should I pull the trigger and go for the increase or wait?

Re: NavyFed CLI question

I'd wait until 91 days have passed before asking for your first CLI. Even though they've done the AR, your account isn't old enough yet.

Re: NavyFed CLI question

91+ days, 3 statements and within an odd month after they do the AR (jan, march, may, july....) and you'll have a soft pull CLI request (generally positive results). If your request is in an even month (fed/apr/june....) it'll be a hard pull. If it's before 91 days or 3 full statements in most cases it'll be declined for the account being too new and perhaps a hard pull. You can find the AR date by checking your FICO score on NFCU and that will show the "as of" date.

Hi, I have several questions.  where did all this even/odd month datapoints come from and where is the 'as of' date on the nfcu splash page?  I just looked at (5) NFCU accounts and all the ficos say from today and nobody has had an AR done today.  Thank you

Tons of data points have been collected here:  http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Navy-Federal-Thread-for-CLI-and-Additional-...

You don't have to read the entire thing (that would take a while)... just skip to the last month or so and go from there.  Most every question has been answered.  Smiley Happy

I will, but maybe you can do me a favor - how can there be a refresh from today, as my pic illustrates, and there is no AR to back it up on EQ which is where it says the score comes from?  Thank you

I've never seen a NFCU employee chime in on that, so all I have (and can add) is speculation.

In the past many members have reported a lag from when the AR happens and when it shows up on the credit bureaus.  NFCU has also (occasionally) been known to do the AR on EX, although I think lately it's been EQ.

Also, I'm not certain if the SP from the AR is what generates the free FICO that is displayed or if they just happen to occur at the same time... again, this conversation would be better on the NFCU thread.
