Need advice on when to apply next CC.?

Got my 1st CC 5 months ago,Its  unsecured cap one ,and just got a new car today thru my credit union,Could not belive they loaned me 19k for a vehicle, with only 5 months of credit history Im so happy. So my Question is ,Since i got only 5 months on my credit card and a new auto loan today,When should i apply for my next CC? I was Thinking waiting a couple months then apply, but i just got a auto loan today.dont wanna apply just to get turned down. should i wait till my capital one  card is a year old? Im asking cause I know once my auto is payed off ,that ill lose my average age of credit ,So i wanna build good base of creditcards so when my car is payed off it doesnt sting my score so bad.

I'd normally suggest that it's fine to apply for a second card when one's first card is six months old. But I think the loan will likely work in your favor. I'd apply when your report shows two or three months of payments on the loan.
