I have a question, but first here is my situation. I have an old paid repossession reporting on experian and transunion. I am not sure the score of those 2 reports at the moment I do have a fako scores of 682 Transunion and 676 Experian my Fico from Equifax is 715 and my report is clear of baddies. I have the paid repossesion and one other unpaid collection which is not my account in the first place it was from progressive auto insurance but I have never had this insurance. I do not know how to prove this so it remains. I have disputed it repeatedly and they just verify and "update" the file. Any how I am looking for a credit card with a decent limit and preferably some rewards. I would prefer one that only pulls EQ since it is clean and clear and appears to be my best score. I live in Florida if that matters. Please help me so that I may continue my journey to a perfect score. Thanks
Welcome to the forums !
So you don't have any open CCs now, is that right ? Do you have any closed CCs, if so how recent are they ?
Thanks for the welcome as I have used alot of the information from these forums to clean up my file, I have never posted. My starting score was around 525 so I have made great improvement. I have a capital one card that is 3 months old, also I just bought my TR fico which is 674. I'm assuming my EX should be somewhere around the same since they both contain the same info 1 collection and 1 paid repossession. If I could at least get rid of the repo I would be out of my nightmare and I could just pfd the collections. I have 2 inquiries currently on all 3 reports. I want to make this inquiry the last for a while so I want to apply for the right card.
Well that is good that you have at least one revolving account already. As you no doubt are aware, Cap1 pulls all three CRAs. Some creditors that come to mind who pull Equifax include Chase, Citi, sometimes Discover, it can also vary based on where you reside. Do a search on Equifax and you should see quite a few threads that list creditors.
