Neiman Marcus Inactive? How long until they close my card

My last transaction on my neimans card was 7/14. I really havent been using the card becuase of a platinum which gives me incircle points and membership rewards. Does anyone know how long capital one lets the account stay inactive before closing it? Since its a store card I cant just go and put a pack of gum on it and I dont shop at neimans a lot (Card wasnt necessary to open but cant go back in time.)

If you don't use it, then is it really that big of a deal if they do close it?

And I'd say 6-12 months with no transactions. Maybe longer.

In my experience, they don't close for inactivity.  I have a Bergdorf card.  I have let the card sit unused for well over a year with no problem.

Every card is different, most over a year, however if you are not planning on using, might as well close it.  IMO and that of most it just looks better if closed by you than if closed by the issuer.

Probably not a bad idea to close it then. Even if it was only open a year?
