Re: New Amex Spending Power Feature?

Wasn't there an Amex CSR on here a while ago named Pooka that said don't play with that button? Smiley Tongue

Re: New Amex Spending Power Feature?

I tried the feature out when I got my green card on Friday. I probably won't use the feature a lot and wanted to know how much can I charge when I have to book a week-long trip or buy an item I saved for.

Re: New Amex Spending Power Feature?

It's for single purchases, not an aggregate of what you can spend over a period of time. Yes Pooka was an AMEX CSR that said, don't tap dance on the button.

Re: New Amex Spending Power Feature?

I put $1,000 in on my PRG, and was approved, but no cherry on top. Just the $1,000.

This is useless. I put in $500 and told me I can spend up to $1500. I have previously charged a lot more then that. So I put in $10000 and told me I can charge up to $13300. I guess if I put in $50000, it would tell me I can spend up to $60000...

This makes me feel a bit better... while I'm a low-spender on my PRG I have been very consistent the last couple of years with my BCP (and now ED) and I always thought they would take that into consideration with the PRG even though I seldom use it.

I'm not going to mess with it any more, but it is nice to know my NPSL is likely more than $1500 (LOL).

I tried on mine and it turns out I don't have an AMEX card. Smiley Sad
