New Credit Card

OK, this is a question for my wife.  For those who know my situation, I promise it is not for me!  Anyway, we live in Florida and my wife has baddies showing up on TU and EX, but for some reason she is showing nothing on Equifax.  Obviously we will not correct that!

For this reason, we are wondering which credit card companies only pull from Equifax.  I know there is whogavemecredit.com, but it seems no one says exactly what is what on there. Maybe there is a CU someone knows about in the Miami area that they would recommend.

Thanks.

Re: New Credit Card

The best thing to do is put a freeze on your TU and EX reports.  As you apply for new cards, you can check your EQ reports to see if the inquiry posted to it.  If the creditor try to pull any other reports, it won't go through.

Kroger 123

Nordstrom

Citi

Sears

Penfed

HSBC

Re: New Credit Card

We are not in your area, but the following pulled EQ for DH & I:

Alliant C.U.  (nice CL on CC)

Kroger 1-2-3  (also nice CL)

BofA  (pretty good CL)

Cabela's  (pretty good CL)

GEMB cards

Good luck!

NFCU

USAA

PenFed

Kroger 123

Alliant

GEMB (except JCPenney, they pull TU for some reason)

FYI:  BoA always pulls EX on me, never EQ.

Re: New Credit Card

Most CUs pull EQ, but unfortunately they usually have higher standards, so if she has some baddies, the rest of her report might not be perfect, but if she does have scores near 700s, she would be wise to try to get in with some local CUs or some of the national ones mentioned on here (PenFed, Alliant, etc)

Re: New Credit Card

I just googled the words "freeze experian", "freeze Transunion", etc. and it brought up the links on their websites to do it.  It will cost you to do it.  I think I read on the CRAs websites $10.

I filled out most of the application to do it on TU, but I chickened out at the last moment.  It just seemed too easy to do.  I probably will finish it tonight.

Re: New Credit Card

It is easy to do, and it is free for NJ residents. My 3 out of 4 are frozen.
