Just called the backdoor number to recon ... they said no , nada! Told me I have to wait for some inquiries to fall and try again.
I guess this was never meant to be.

Very sorry to hear that plasticman!
Really only their loss, by them not budging on the recon...especially b/c you have one very fantastic and amazing credit profile! By declining you, they just lost a very profitable, valuable, and excellent potential customer...

That's ok ,no hard feeling towards them at all. They're the one that gave me a nice CL with the old AMEX . I just wanted this card for the APR. That's all .
Quick update: I finally received my FNBO Amex in the mail today!
In MHO, it is definitely one very good-looking and attractive, very sleek silver card; very happy and delighted with it so far!
Just curious, do you think maybe FNBO intentionally decided not to give this particular card a name or a branding, to make it try to stand out more or something like that? Kinda curious b/c don't most card issuers heavily market their card products at least in part based on the brand name recognition? Makes me kinda wonder why exactly FNBO elected not to give the card a name branding of sorts...
She was declined....for inquiries....
For 2 EX inquiries over the last 2 years... This makes a ton of sense, doesn't it...
Also, just some more possible food for thought -- is there a reason why you think FNBO may have decided to make this a time-limited offer, rather than expanding it more broadly, or making it a permanent part of its credit card portfolio? If you really think about it for a sec, by making this a permanent product, they could potentially totally crush their competition in the credit card rewards field, so to speak....especially b/c no one else really has anything close to this competitive level of low APR rewards card, coupled with this generous level of rewards...

Being sent up to Sr. Analyst. They're insane if they don't approve her.

I totally agree, 100%!
She is literally among the best of the best, credit-wise!
Have you also tried contacting the EO, j/c?
I really find it hard to believe that 2 EX inquiries are what caused it. Just weird.
