We are currently not accepting applications at this time. Thank you for visiting our website.
FNBO is keeping me in the garden.....closed applictions already
At least like this I do not get tempted...ha ha
Psst. applications are still open. If you click apply now and select say, Nebraska, the application will pop up. Then proceed as normal!
But will they still approve a person though, if s/he selects a state that is still available to app for in, and then FNBO sees in the actual application that s/he lives in a state that is no longer eligible, j/c?
That's how I apped/was approved. I don't live in that region.
So that was the "workaround" ... very clever! Great CC though, just not in the right timeframe for me at the moment.

Sure, I was approved with a SL of $5kIt's a little low in comparison to some of my other cards, but definitely reasonable.
Many thanks for sharing more, very awesome to hear & congrats on your SL, very happy for you! ![]()

So I just realized, I have one card with a high util from a BT (70%) reporting, and Galahad mentioned they had high utilization when they apped...
Maybe that's the key to the madness? Show that you (theoretically) might NEED the low APR??!
Wow, you just might be on to something there leoment!
Yes that would definitely make a lot of sense, given the app results data points so far ...Thanks for very helpfully figuring it out for us! ![]()

So, were youable to change the state later on in the online application?

Yes, you can. I just hope a lot of people don't apply, they catch on and then close cards that were approved not from Nebraska. Most applications are manual, so I guess the underwriters see it, but may not be concerned righ tnow.
Some more hypothetical questions: if this particular card will no longer be part of FNBO's credit card product lineup after 5/31/2015, what implications do you think that will have for the card's long-term future? Just for example, do you think it is inevitably likely to become a legacy or a grandfathered product only applicable to existing cardholders, such as cards like Citi's Forward, Professional, CashReturns, DPR, and similar discontinued card products? Also do you think at some point FNBO will allow PC from this card down the road in the future, while also at the same time allowing existing cardholders to maintain the existing rate of P+3.00%? Or any other misc. predictions for the long-term fate of an arguably very excellent FNBO card product? ![]()

Hypothetically, they could discontinue the product and auto-PC current cardholders.
Fwiw the conservative nature of First Nat'l was bore out with my mom's approval. 0 inquires in the previous 12 months, 1 inquiry in past 24 mo (month 16), 3 open accts at time of app: Two 6 yr old account at 5 k and a new BCE at 20k that is 16 mo old. Oldest acct on report is 23 yrs. She's retired, owns house, and has investments. 800+ FICO.
She was approved for a whopping $1,400. Was going to recon CL when card arrives, but think we'll just let this ride.
