I just realized I have a 6 month old overstock card with comenity bank! I wonder how in the world they approved me for $1,000 store card with the BillMeLater debt I owed before my discharge in 2015. paypalcredit still shows my account owing $900

I don't want to derail this thread on the new PayPal 2% Cashback card by going off topic. I'll PM you about this.

Re: New PayPal product

Well, well, I finally got the targeted offer for the 2% Payal Cashback MC from Synch. I was thinking I wouldn't get the offer because I'm on Pre-screen Opt-Out (way too many mailed personal loan offers), but when I logged in PP this morning there it was. But now decision time: To app, or Not to app? I'm in good with Syncchrony, $10k CL on both Walmart & Lowes store cards, and my TU Fico is up to 727. And I tend to take my new account lumps close together and then dash back to the garden - my Amex BCE, approved in late April just reported on 6/26. CK Vantage score dipped 4 points to 695/705 TU/EQ on the new Amex account, but that TU Fico is up from 724, so who cares about Vantage? I have the Penfed Powercash card for 2% on anything, but a backup 2% card would be nice.

My one concern is my pending $25k Home Equity Line of Credit app with Penfed. Everyone always says don't app for anything until a real estate loan is closed. But my Penfed HELOC has had "Pre-Approved" status since 6/20, and in speaking with reps twice this week they say everything is set to go, just waiting on my appraisal. And I believe that "Pre-Approved" means they used my May EQ AR for scoring.

What d'ya'll think?

Re: New PayPal product

I too just logged in and got the offer. I applied and got the 7 to 10 day message.  Smiley Mad

Already have the PayPal rewards MC and that might have been my problem. Seems I remember reading here one or the other.

Oh well...

Re: New PayPal product

Looks like everyone is getting the $250 temp credit. Is there a way to find out what the true credit limit is without having to call and speak to an agent? The phone system doesn't provide it. Thanks in advance!

My $8,000 SL showed up on my credit reports like a week before I received the card in the mail. That's probably the only way to see it without calling them.

I activated my card on Tuesday and it still hasn't shown up on my PayPal account. They told me it should show up after 4 days, but I'm past that now. Smiley Sad I wish mine had been an instant approval, but I had to call in to verify some stuff to remove the fraud block.

$40,000 - Chase Amazon Prime Rewards Visa
$40,000 - Bank of America Unlimited Cash Rewards Visa
$39,500 - Citi Double Cash Mastercard

$20,800 - Comenity Playstation Visa
$20,000 - Capital One Savor Mastercard
$14,500 - Discover it Cash Back
$10,000 - Goldman Sachs Apple Card

I'm having the same problem.  I think it's been about a week, and it still hasn't shown up.

Well, I app'd, instant approval. I have Sync Walmart & Lowes store cards, $10k CL each, plus closed by me in good standing Amazon & Sams Club. On the app there's a place to check to make the card the default payment for PayPal, I checked that and on existing the app to return to PayPal it immediately showed up in PP with the last 4 digits of the card and the $250 temp CL.

And Cap One's Creditwise credit tracker is impressive, a minute after receiving the approval email from Sync Creditwise emailed an alert for the Sync inquiry on TU. I imagine Creditwise will email an alert with the new account & CL before I get the card.

Thanks for the information.  It seems that instant approval versus verification may be the difference in showing up online; mine wasn't instant.
