Hey everyone... first post!
Subject really say it all...
Has anyone ever had this experience before? The request was for my CSP card which I opened about 2 months ago... I know, probably an ill-advised move, but I truly believe that my util, income, and exposure all support a CLI. So I called the recon line and the agent seemed like she was ready to grant me a favorable decision based on the information she had... but she was not able to see what report the EO pulled so she couldn't pull the trigger and give me the increase. Long story short, she transferred me back to the EO who told me that I cannot recon the decision... FYI, she told me that she used a TU report to make the decision, but I have yet to receive a hard pull...
Could the not able to recon status be a result of the report being unavailable to the credit analyst on the recon line?
Any insight is appreciated.
I suggest you to verify if there is a HP in any of the CB.
If not then call them again tomorroqw and try again.

Did any of this change since you were approved? If not, banks like Chase like to see pyt history with the CL given. Two months is too short IMO

Yes... increase in income, credit limit increases on my other cards... The woman in the EO told me that my CLs on my other cards did not warrant the increase I was asking for. She also cited my AAoA as reasons for denial... "too new to credit" is what she said verbatim. FYI my AAoA is 3 years.
Seems to me like those were the reasons cited for not getting the CLI. Just becuase other lenders can approve you for higher limits, does not necessarily mean that Chase will follow suit. Use the card within the next several months to establish a strong usage pattern and you may get better results at the next CLI request.
+1 Underwriting criteria can and do vary by creditor. 6 months is the generic guideline but even then there's no guarantee that Chase will think your situation has changed to warrant a CLI.

Possible but unlikely. They gave you their reasons for denial. Nothing but time is going to address "to new to credit".
I'm fully on board with what you are saying, but I'm more curious as to why I couldn't recon after the denial.... has anyone had a similar experience?

Sounds like you did recon, they just denied your request.
No, I was told that I wasn't permitted to recon my request because I initiated my request with the EO... The credit analysts in the recon dept. seemed just as confused by the whole thing... Just wondering if this is consistent with anyone else's experience...
I will note that as of today, I still have not received an alert for a hard pull from any of the CBs
Strange update....
So I received a letter from the EO explaining the denial, but they printed the wrong first name (right last name) on the letter and envelope. I still have not received a HP (bought a new FICO report yesterday) on my report, yet the letter states that they obtained a report from TU to make their decision...
Question is did they pull someone else's report? Do I need to call them to let them know?
