@Jervo007 Congrats on your upgrades . . . I have a Slate with $300.00 CL and the Chase representative told me that I could allow a HP and upgrade to the Freedom that has a minimum CL of $5k . . . I passed on the HP right now!!!

Thanks! I am having a lot of fun with all of this. Challenging, but also a must if I wanna buy a home! 

Ugh, not what I wanted to hear. I see the "You're prequalified!" for that same card on the Chase app. But, if even calling in takes a HP to upgrade  I just cannot do it! Citi converted me to what I think is a better card without an HP... Hoping Chase at the very least ups the CL $1,000. I'll post an update when I know. Fingers crossed !

@Jervo007 I have seen others on this forum get great auto CLIs from Chase and they do SPs often for me  . . . So I'm not sure what the issue is, I just don't want another HP right now. Also, before retirement my annual income was $189k and my payroll direct deposits were all to Chase . . . So I guess they see retirement deposits totaling about $5k monthly vs. monthly payroll deposits totaling $12k; but my deposits will increase once I get my business off the ground and start payrolling myself. So please don't let me discourage you, I just don't want a lot of HPs. If you are seeing the "You're prequalified!" notification; they you're way ahead of me and it may be different . . . try calling Chase as they won't do a HP without your authorization. Unless it's an autocli, chase usually requires a hp for a cli... hence why sometimes it's better to just open a new card and take the hp then reallocate it if it has enough.... 

Put some heavy use on my chase Amazon Prime card and had a suspicion it would trigger an auto cli, which it did....otherwise I have not seen any increases on my freedom card... or the az card except for that one...
