Okay, I Did It!

I might as well admit that I have an addiction!!  I was pre-approved for a BofA plat visa and I applied for the Humane Society one.  I wanted it so badly because it helps animals and I was approved for 10,400k. I love anything to do with helping animals.  I even have The Humane Society personal checks.

I know, I know I was groaning and moaning about my scores taking a hit but I'm going to forget about it!  I am not going to concern myself daily as I have in the past about those damned scores.  I wanted the card and I apped and got it and that's that. As someone said, they'll go back up before too soon anyway.  Besides, I'll continue to pay my cards on time and I'm going to write a letter to cancel that Kroger Personal finance card.  At least I'm happy. Re: Okay, I Did It!

Congrats MsQ, you have a wonderful new cc in that Humane Society one. A most worthy and honorable cause. Not to mention the great opening cl! Smiley Happy

I don't blame you for closing the Kroger one. WTG.

Now it's time to reserve that corner suite on the 6th. floor of the Sleigh Center. Smiley Very Happy

Please, no more app'ing. You could very easily find yourself having some cc's closed because of your app'ing spree. Seems like more cc's are now taking AA's against to many new accounts. We don't want that to happen to you.

Re: Okay, I Did It!

msb,

if you don't mine me asking, what are your credit scores? I have BOA cards, and they all have 5,000 CL's on them.

Re: Okay, I Did It!

kobe,

My scores are:

Transunion 763

Equifax  717

Experian 733

All those have dropped recently and on a former post I was not a happy camper!  But, I don't care.  I'm going to continue being an excellent customer with my payment history.

It's funny because when I went to the pre-approval site, they offered 6k.  But, I went to the regular credit card link on the site and applied and it gave me a much bigger line @ 9.9%!  I'm not asking why...

Re: Okay, I Did It!

Great advice Ms. Sylvia.  No more apping because I've got every card I want.  I don't want to be "blacklisted" by anyone but if I did, I have enough cards that it wouldn't really matter. Smiley Very Happy

I hear you--my scores are already dropping (look at poor EX), and only half of my new accounts have shown up. We're going to have to wait it out together, I guess!

FWIW, in most cases, it seems like scores are back about where they were after 3-4 months and moving beyond that at 6 months. This is what I'm chanting to myself, anyway. Smiley Wink
