One item of note....Chase annouced earlier this year that the $300 travel credit could be used for ordinary things like groceries and eating out to help repay for the loss in travel. I used mine up within like 3 weeks and I'm not sure if that program is still ongoing and if you're eligible..try looking into that if you need.
+1 take advantage of this!
👍👏👏👏

The one I'm having trouble getting is the one you've got, we should work out some sort of trade
I've been waiting for my Freedom invite for like 2 years... nothing but crickets so far, and I'm not brave enough to kick the hornet's nest and cold app for it
Congratulations on your Chase Sapphire Reserve product change!
Congratulations on your CSR upgrade!!

Been keeping that last slot open specifically for Freedom, in case Chase ever comes around.
I don't want to PC my CFU, because (now especially with my new CSR) the 1.5% really translates to 2.25%, which is better than any other card I have for everyday spending.
What's your reservation about cold apping the Freedom? You're under 5/24... What's your total overal utilization right now?
The Freedom is an entry level CC, so as long as you're under 5/24, over 680, have utilization under 30% (preferably under 9%), and have over 1 year of credit history i wouldn't hesitate to apply for the Freedom. I've cold app'd every Chase card i have, and always been instantly approved. Granted that was pre-covid, but you could be waiting a long time, if ever, for a green or black star in the chase portal...
Congrats on your PC!
Congrats! Did they do a pull when you product changed? I am considering doing this same change from CSP to CSR.

2 reservations - the first is that my utiliation across all my cards has been kind of high lately, 50-60%, because I've been doing a ton of spend and not really paying attention to the statement cut dates. I could pretty easily get it below 10% if I put some effort into it. But the bigger reason is that I'm worried about kicking the hornet's nest, because I'm already skating on thin ice with Chase (to use 2 cliche's in one sentence, ha). I'm extremely lucky they gave me the two cards I have, given that I burned them not really that long ago, and I feel like an account review triggered by a Freedom app would risk getting all my cards shut down. So, that's why I've just been patiently waiting for an invite.
