Hello all....
I just finished signing on my first home today..... So, I have a few card questions for the group.
This past June I recieved the CSP (Chase Sapphire Preferred), but now I'm more interested in the CAP (Chase Amazon Prime). I'm not sure if I want both. Has anyone tried to PC these two? I'm also interested in the NFCU card family (already a member), but not sure which card to lean on. Current cards in siggy. Actual Mortgage score from lender is 783. I'm at 0% Utlization across the board.

Banks as a general rule do not let you PC into a cobranded card. AMEX is the only exception to this rule I know.
In my case, I went out and got the amazon card separately as I could not PC.
You may be able to get the Amazon card and transfer some of your Sapphire limit to it. Your mileage may vary with that idea, though. We've seen reports here of people being able to pull it off, but others have run into difficulty with that request. It may be a matter of getting the right customer service rep.

Which Amex cards can be converted to cobranded? I've never heard of this being possible.
Agree with HeavenOhio that applying for the Chase Amazon card, then moving your limit over is probably the best option if you have no want/need for one of the core Chase products. Usually you just need to have had no activity on the account (charges, credits, payments, anything) for at least 90 days. If the CSR you speak with is unable to do it, hand up and call again or ask to speak with a supervisor. They will usually let you transfer all but $500 of a credit line.

I know the Hiltons for sure can be PC out of cobrand to the regular lineup. My friend had his PC to the BCE but he did have to wait a year before he could though; not too sure on the other cards. But I doubt they can let you change a "regular" to a cobrand I've never heard of that either.

Okay, the other way around is possible then, but not "into cobranded." My understanding and what I've been told by Amex several times is that you can only change regular cards within their own family (Green-Gold-Platinum, Blue-ED-EDP, BCE-BCP, etc...). If doing a PC into cobranded were possible, I'd PC my useless (except for age) 15 year-old "Blue from American Express" into a SPG and close my existing SPG. I can see the one year due to the CARD Act in changing the terms of the account.

At one time the rules regarding a PC of a co-brand account were more lax; for example it used to be possible for folks to PC from a Delta Gold to a Hilton if they didn't want to pay an AF, but that's no longer possible.
That said, this is the first time I've read of a PC from co-brand to proprietary, and so far I've never read of a PC from to proprietary to co-brand. Maybe @Anonymous will be able to help us out with the current policy.
Edited to add: I just realized this is a Chase thread, so we're getting pretty far away from the discussion of the original issue, which was specifically Chase PCs.

Thank you everyone for the information. I was out of town and couldn't access via Mobile.
I was also asking if anyone has any preferences on NFCU cards or should I try pair a Chase FU with my Chase SP. I havn't really been using my Chase SP card once I met spending for the bonus pts. I had been laying low while I was trying to purchase a house (Got it). In my opinion Chase gave me a horrible rate so it's been on the back burner except as my Apple Pay.. I would like to replace my Cap1 QS card (due to really high interest rates), but It's showing as my oldest active line of credit at the moment. It's currently in the perverbial sock drawer with my Chase SP. I do have the 2% PenFed PCR card too and use it on occation. I have a Citi Costco that rocks the resturant catagory so far at 3% back. Last month I was talking to a CSR at Citi and asked if I could move my credit limit from my Citi Costco to my Citi AA stating that I really thought that I would have used the Costco card more than I am and that I wanted AA to be my primary Citi card ($31,100 available CL between the 2 cards). The rewards aren't so great on AA but I like to fly AA and I live near their home hub in DFW. The Citi CSR told me to call them back at the first of the year about this because the Costco Card was still so new and they might have an answer for me then.
All cards are at 0% utilization. Zero balance.
Side question, I recently have seen 2 different people using what appears to be a cream colored AMEX card. It's like a cream white. It definately looked different and I noticed it right away. I believe it was an AMEX card anyways (it was being used in a very afluent area). I hadn't seen this card before and I can't seem to find any matches anywhwere on the web. Anyone have a clue what I may be?
