If lower APR trumps the 5% gas card for intended use PC to their Visa Promise.  Did they give any preapprovals?  Congrats.

     I opened an account with $5 and they pulled my CR.    My Eq ( I am sure they pull EQ )  is 767 today.   6% util. and no baddies.

App's for Visa - approved $20k pending Income Verification.. Should know shortly.

Also applied for $5k LOC. In fact, I started the LOC application and saved it because I had to go do something. Today, (Saturday) they called me to finish the app on the phone and wondered if I had had a problem with it on their web site. I spoke with a very nice man... Top notch!

 I received a siggy card to sign and return for my share account and one for my CC on Thursday. I have not received anything on Income Verification...................My app never stated it was in Pending Status either.......

                             I wonder why some incomes are verified and some are not?  What is the trigger for income Verification?

I am thinking of applying for a CC from either one since I am a member for about a year now. . . . what docs do they want for income verification, W2, Tax Returns or pay stubs?

I sent the last two years Federal Income Tax, W2's, and just faxed last two pay-stubs from my wife and I. I though the Tax / W2 stuff would be enough...

I got turned down on the LOC   but as long as we can get their card with a $20k line, I can sit back and be patient for the pre-approval stuff to show up - if it ever does... LOL...

I think once we get some payment history established with them, this should not be a problem. We might only use the Visa for gas now, but that is fine. I am going to work my Discover card hard for CLI with them... DIscover will get most of my "love" until I am happy with the line....
