PSECU - When to CLI?

I got a PSECU card back in December of 2022 when they were offering $300 to open a checking. Since they pulled credit for the membership, I went ahead and applied for their Founder's Card and got approved with a limit of $20,000. I was surprised by the low limit since I read on other threads that some walked away with a $30k limit in addition to a $20k LOC. I asked the underwriter about the limit and was advised that they changed their policy that new members had a max unsecured limit of $20k. Question... does anyone know when they stop considering someone new, hence qualifying for a higher limit?

On the plus side, I've been using their checking as side account. It's pretty solid. You get .10 per debit transaction, immediate availability on mobile deposit, get an updated Experian FICO 2 score every month, and have free COOP and Allpoint access. The only thing that the checking lacks is early-pay on direct deposit and external account transfers are not immediately availble.

I'm wondering this as well. I've had the classic visa card at $20k for years. I'm wondering if I should do a CLI, or apply for the Founders card. I'm not sure if the classic card goes any higher than $20k, though.

Re: PSECU - When to CLI?

I have had my PSECU card for a little over 2 years . I initially got 30K as the SL (highest SL to date with any lender .  I never really asked for an increase as I didn't need it any higher .

A little while back I saw their offer for the founders card with a sweet BT offer thought why not denied . For being at the maximum line with them.

who knows maybe their tightening up?

I guess you could try at 6 months which seems like the standard with most back .

But I wouldn't consider 20K a low limit lol

Definitely not a low limit 😝 it was just lower than what other have reported, which most got a SL of $30k.

Well I was thinking about using my current balance then read the fine print . Why offer to send BT checks but I can't deposit to myself bummer .
