Card was PIF last week after I put a bunch of spend on it. Login and now I see I don't have access to my full CL. Anyone seen this before? Funds pulled from checking account last week.
synchrony can take up to 28 days to restore the credit, typically it will be more like 7-10 biz days
they're just slow about it sometimes as an anti-fraud feature, typically can happen if big payments aren't the norm or if a new/different bank account was used

Gotcha, that makes sense. Bank has been linked for over 9 years but the payment was defintely out of the norm.

Yes. Synchrony is infamous for exactly this. Personal experience says its usually more like 5-7 days, but they are significantly slower to update payment completion and restore available balance when compared to nearly every other card issuer.
Another aspect of their slow processing is it seems to take longer for them to move pending charges to your balance. This has the net effect of delaying how quickly you can pay an outstanding baance to them. It can be frustrating if you intend to pay to zero near a statement date.

Funny you mention this because I got a random charge for an autoship of contacts yesterday that I thought was setup to another card and it won't let me pay it still today.
@awg420 Use bill pay thru your bank or credit union and these problems will not occur IMO. Synchronny is waiting to make sure the funds will transfer successfully. The same reason a bank or credit union may place hold on the funds transferred via ACH depending on amount transferred.

We all understand it, but synch takes longer than any other cedit issuer to do these things. It's a differemntiating factor for sure.
The idea to push rather than pull funds of course "works" to allow quicker payments, but some view it as an annoyance. And, it does not really speed processing up very much, but at least allows you to pay on a balance that has not yet "appeared".
