Perplexed... Suggestions?

So I was approved for the Apple Card -- but they said I can ONLY accept it on an iPhone/iPad... But I'm trying to use it to BUY 2 iPhones... Ummm why can I not Open it to PURCHASE Apple phones...? If I go buy a new iPhone, just to accept offer, it will defeat the whole point... The $2,500 spend for the 2 phones, would give me a nice payment history from the gate...

Any suggestions?!

Well, it's my understanding an existing apple product is pre-requisite for apple card.

There are different types of financing for 1st time users, but I'm assuming you want the card.

Maybe buy (if it's that important to you) used 📱🍎6, it shouldn't be more than $60.00. Otherwise, you can go with different means of financing iPhone purchase.

@Remedios Great idea. The iPhone 6 is eligible to have an iCard? Then I can just immediately thereafter purchase the 2 new one's. 💖💓💕

I think it is. Since I'm ##teamsamsung4life, wait for others to chime in, but I do believe it is.

Re: Perplexed... Suggestions?

The requirements page just shows having any iPhone with Touch ID (except iPhone 5S) or Face ID that supports ApplePay.  Theoretically you could probably grab an iPhone 6 with a cracked screen for almost nothing, connect it to WiFi without even needing cellular service, and apply with your AppleID in the Wallet app.

Re: Perplexed... Suggestions?

This doesn't make sense. Apple specifically added the ability to apply for an Apple Card without an iDevice and then use it for Apple purchases online or at the store.

https://card.apple.com/apply/start

"To access and use all the features of Apple Card, you must add Apple Card to Wallet on an iPhone or iPad with iOS or iPadOS 13.2 or later. This will also allow you to manage your Apple Card on your device and make purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Otherwise, you will only be able to use your Apple Line of Credit for certain eligible purchases online and in-store at Apple."

You would be able to purchase the phones directly from Apple online or at an Apple Store.. but you wouldn't be able to purchase them directly from a cell phone carrier.

##teamsamsung4life members do not enable others to buy devices from less worthy companies.   A simple "No, there's no way, and that's a good thing.  Get a Samsung and you will thank me later" would have done.
