I realize this subject has been discussed before, but I couldn't find the threads. Anyways, just got my first Barclay's (Rewards) card 4 months ago. I am thinking of buying a couple of IPad Air's for my office (probaby $2,500 total purchase) from the Apple store by using their financing. Did I read on here that Barclay's won't allow you to have 2 accounts with them? Meaning I will be rejected?
Thanks,
Current Score: EX: 718, EQ: 715, TU: 720I don't personally have two Barclaycard credit cards, but I've read on the Barclaycard Ring forum that several people have multiple cards with them. So it's definitely possible to. You may have to recon if they initially deny you, though. Just be sure you don't have a lot of inquiries/new accounts if you do, and that the util on your current accounts is low. I've read that if you recon with them, they can close your other account if they see something like that they don't like. So I'll probably apply for the Barclaycard Rewards card sometime late next year.

Short answer
YES
I have seen posters with 2 Barclay products
Good luck should you apply
Thanks Webb. I have very low utilization and 10 inquiries (over 3 bureaus) on my credit report last 2 years. 5 are on TU. However, no inquiries the past 90-120 days. Barclay card was my last one. What do you think my chances are with a 702 FICO and plenty of income? I could pretty easily pay cash for the tablets, but with wanting to open a few more accounts to provide greater overall depth to my profile I thought Apple might be a good option.
Current Score: EX: 718, EQ: 715, TU: 720You can have two accounts but I believe they want time between them. Read Barclays giving free Fico credit report that was posted yesterday. I think some had more then 2.
You need to wait at least 4 months, with 6 being preferred.
I applied for my second Barclays card 4.5 months after the first. Instant acceptance. however since I have a very low AAoA (much less than a year) and all my cards are from this year, I received somewhat low starting limits. $1500 and $1600. They were my 6th and 7th credit cards (i've since closed another card, which explains my signature).
Hope this helps.
Hmmmmmm, well, that'sencouraging then. I am just coming up on my 4th Barclay's statement, which actually makes the account 5 months old. My overall credit profile is over 15 years, but average is only 8 because of all my new cards the past 2 years. Sounds like I may have a decent chance!

Current Score: EX: 718, EQ: 715, TU: 720Yes it is! I have a Barclays Visa I got when I applied for a purchase through the Apple store about 1 year ago. I recently applied for a Travelocity AmEx (backed by Barclays), and was denied, with the letter stating "i had sufficient credit on the other Barclays account". I called to recon, and was approved and issued the AmEx.
Good luck!
