Re: Pulled my Scores again, but where do I go from here?

PenFed Amex != Amex.  It uses the "Amex Network", like Visa/MasterCard, but is not issued or associated with American Express Centurion Bank.  Therefore, it will be up to PenFed's approval process, not Amex.

BofA Cash Rewards VS - $25k | Citi Double Cash World MC - $18.9k | Amex BCE - $50k | Discover it - $50k | Chase Freedom Unlimited VS- $10k | Barclay Ring $5k |

Ok, then I really won't bother then!  After I got declined the first time, it would be a waste for me to try it again.

My bank is regional.   I already know  I don't have the scores to get a card with them yet as I've asked for their criteria, plus I still have the BK showing on my reports which I know they don't like.   There are a few other banks around here that I think are local but its not looked well upon to go get a card at a bank you're not a member of because people talk.  Move an account and people start asking why.  Personally I'd rather not start any type of talk like that.

I think my scores are good, but I just need to find a card thats bk friendly and of course, utilizes TU.    Is there any reason why Barclays is a bad idea?    Also, I did get an offer in the mail from PenFed for their Amex Card.  From what I've read, Amex isn't BK friendly so I'm not going to blow an inquiry.

I am considering a Barclays co-branded card for my next app.   From various posts, I gather that they don't like many inquiries or high utilization, but are somewhat easy to qualify for.   If you are interested in AMEX network, their Travelocity card is AMEX network.
