So my first statement for my new Disco IT card cut today and I have run through about 1600$ through the card since getting it making two payments and paying it down to $27 on it since I wasn't sure when the statement would cut. Well, the Minimum due is $20 which I don't have an issue paying but that seems slightly high for a minimum payment due to me to have it be close to all of the balance of the card. Just wondering if this is normal Disco thing? Or if it is because I only have a $27 balance on it.

Card issuers can set a minimum payment regardless of the balance. My credit union, for example, does a minimum payment of $10 unless your balance is less.
I believe if your Discover balance is $35 or more, your minimum payment will be $35.

That's normal. Most credit card companies have a set amount as the minimum payment if your balance is low.
It's normal for revolving credit cards to have a set minimum of either $xx or the entire statement balance, whichever is lower.
Discover's is the greater of $35, 2% of the statement balance, or $20 + any fees and interest. Since your balance was under $35, that's out. 2% of $27 is only $0.54, and $20 + $0 in interest and $0 in fees works out to $20, the largest minimum they can apply in your case.
