Can you do ACH transfers to/from an external bank/credit union? Is there an inactive fee in their checking or savings account?

Wow, they charge a fee to transfer money to other banks/credit unions, yet receiving money is free! They sure know how to keep the money in.

My DD is a member too. Shes had a BoA acct since high school and since they are near her campus she uses BoA as her primary bank. She got a letter from DCU saying they missed her and if she called they would give her $20 or in 30 days her acct would be closed for inactivity. She hadn't used the acct in a yr.
Obviously, she called and the $20 was posted during her phone call.
I am glad that at lease DCU called before closing her account.

Wow!! I hope I get that offer too in January XD
The only thing I've been using DCU for is the free FICO, but I have preapproved offers sitting there for an auto loan up to $30k and a $10,000 CC, but i'm not gonna take advantage of those at this point in time!
Thank you for clearing it up!
