2011XTERROR- Are you sure about that. I tried using my Premier card at Walmart and Sams club and both times it asked me for the pin after inserting card. Very frustating to say the least. Not going to memorize this pin since I don't plan using this card a lot, mostly for balance transfers.

RBFCU Premier or Diners Club Premier? I can't keep the names of these cards straight.

okay i made a mistake. didn't take the training until now. they are chip and pin and early 2016 the premier will be issued with the chip and pin too.

I think the real news here is that it looks as if a true 'chip and PIN' card is available in the U.S. outside of the usual two or three sources (which are now difficult if not impossible to get)... that's really cool to know! 

I wonder how long it will be before the 'myFICO effect' kicks in!  LOL

I wouldn't consider paying money to a non-profit associated with the CU to gain eligibility that much of a hurdle, unless there's something I'm missing?

XTERROR, I'm not personally in the market (and likely wouldn't be approved anyway) but for information's sake, can the PIN be changed/updated once assigned?

I have visions of lots of replacement PINs being sent out if the randomly assigned number is 'fixed'...

yes. according to my handy dandy training it can be changed but it doesn't seem it can be "personalized" but it didn't specify
