REALLOCATION-REAPPLY-CHASE

I have a Chase Freedom and a Fairmont card......QUESTION, if I reallocate ALL my credit line from the FREEDOM to the FAIRMONT, which will close the FREEDOM, can I reapply, in a month for the FREEDOM card again, and get the same new account rewards I got the first time?

Re: REALLOCATION-REAPPLY-CHASE

Meat,

It seems there's some flaws in the way you're handling your credit life.  Between the posts about inflating income, redacting forms that are requested, your buddy submitting forged documents, and some other things you should probably take a look at how you're handling things.  Maybe it's the people you're hanging around influencing your decisions to try to game the system?  Trying to churn and burn a card is shooitng yourself in the foot when it comes to managing your credit.  Just to get a bonus is short sighted when it comes to the marathon you're in to get to those goals.  Maybe it's the lack of goals pushing you to make these moves? Maybe you're treading water right now with your finances and trying to figure out how to make a buck off your cards?  This sort of thinking will land you in hot water eventually when karma catches up.  If it's not one post it's another lately.  It's time to take a long hard look in the mirror and figure out where you want to end up.  Make a plan with some goals instead of having hair brain ideas of gaming the system that's not in your favor.  Trust me the lenders have seen it, thought of it, and have measures in place to prevent it.

Re: REALLOCATION-REAPPLY-CHASE

Well your concern is admirable. My file is ok and maybe my transparency with my thinking is confusing ya'll. I'm nowhere near treading water...my Util is at 11%. I'm in the process of weeding out alot of cards that aren't being used. I am fairly new at the credit card game but am learning being on this site..ie, asking questions. As far as my bud goes, hes on his own and I certainly don't use him as a mentor lol. As far as the one asking for w2..I chose to withdraw my app vs sending anything. Didn't need that credit file...besides out of all my cards, Chase, Amex, Citi, Boa, Cap 1, barclays Merrill Lynch, Discover,...none has ever requested w2 or any type of poi...Found that request uncomfortable. Thanks for being concerned..Started with a 300 CAP 1 card 19 mos ago, scores were all...hi 5's...today...TU 689...EQ 674..EX  739

Back to the CHASE issue. ANY detriment in moving all my fairmont line to FREEDOM line?

Re: REALLOCATION-REAPPLY-CHASE

Moving the line over shouldn't be an issue as long as they don't spot anything when reviewing your file.  They'll probably let you move everything but the remaining $500 if there have been any charges in the last 90 days.  If no charges then 100% should be able to move over.
