Greetings
I was approved for a CSP on November 2nd of this year and I spent $3300 so far so I am close to the minimun spend. I paid $2000 of it before the statement cut and setup a payment for the rest to be paid on December 14th.
I want to book a trip today with my SO which will likely cost around $800 which will meet my minimun spend. Would this be too much too fast? I paid a $2250 medical bill and the rest were Christmas shopping and dinners/Uber/Food Delivery so no MS or anything like that.
Should I use my other cards to book this trip like the Blue Business Plus card? I do not want to raise any flags and risk being seen as a churner or bonus chaser. In fact I want to PC my CFU to a CF card so I do not have the HP or affect my AAoA.
As long as you're purchasing within your means and using your availible credit wisely, it shouldn't matter how fast you meet the minimum spend.
Good Luck!
I think you're fine. Everything looks pretty routine to me. Go ahead and make the $800 charge.
I hit my AMEX SUB the day I activated the card. 50k points for $1000 spend. Just so happened my car insurance was due for the year so I took care of it in 1 transaction.

For more datapoints I hit the AMEX Platinum bonus earlier this year in one day paying taxes. My two sisters a few months ago hit the SUB on the CapOne Savor as soon as they got their new cards paying their tuition for the semester. As CramEiko said as long as the credit is available and you're spending within your means charge away.
Agree all around. I hit the SUB on my SPG card last year in one transaction before I even got the card.
I sometimes save up my bills before I app so I have a lot of bills to pay and make the required spend quickly. Doing so in a month is not a big deal. If your credit line was only $500 that would be one thing, but assuming you are not maxing out the card making the spend in a month is not a big issue. Lenders know people are going to spend to make their required initial spend and are more focused on the overall spending month to month. If you make 40k a year and are spending 5k every month or you have a 10k limit and charge 9.9k then a lender is going to eventually have some questions.
They want you to spend a lot of money on your card. So you are good to go spend away.
You are in great shape. Different places where you are doing spend and it looks like you are also paying at places where there is no transaction fee for a credit card.
I know if my daughter were to pay her tuition with a credit card there would be a credit card fee of 2.4%. It still might make sense to pay the fee if I was after a large spend to earn a SUB.
