Just for the giggles, what was your EX FAKO???
Congrats on the cards, did you pull the two at thesame time??? Did you get one or two inquiries???
EX FAKO is 660. 2 inquiries since I did not get an instant approval. (manual review for Clear)
how did you get a credit score when you applied for amex? i just got a green card...no free score...

You get the score in the mail... Credit Card Companies are required to provide you with a numberical score whether you are approved or declined.
I dont think that applies to charge card products (Green is a charge card) as there is no CL or APR involved. I got my EX score on my Blue Cash preferred credit card approval letter, but not for my PR Gold charge card. I believe this is due to the fact that all terms are the same for all charge card cardmembers.

You know, I think you're right, I recall getting the numerical score when I applied for the Amex Clear and not on the charge card.
I didn't get one when I applied for the platinum. So the theory of charge vs credit seems to hold true
I believe the Fair Access to Credit Act which amended the FCRA actually makes it read that should any adverse action(declining credit, APR increase, limit reduction, non-best terms) be caused due to or in concert with consideration of "A" score, that that score be disclosed. Remember that the score does not have to be a true FICO. For example, Chase uses an internal scoring system, which includes FICO within it. Chase discloses their internal scoring score(this was true as of my last card application 2 months ago).
Many credit card companies are disclosing the score they give no matter the outcome, so they don't have to bother determining if they have to or not. Just know that they do have an out(best terms given) as to not give out your score.
I would imagine, that if you are being approved for a no pre-set limit charge card, that you are in fact getting best terms(usually in terms of APR). There are some amex charge card accounts that still have hard caps though, but that is on an individual basis.
Exactly. Creditors have to provide a FICO score if it was used to decide your application and you did not recieve the best terms offered, along with the reasons why which obviously is irrelevant with a charge card product.
