Hello Everyone... was hoping I could get some info. on the Redston Signature Visa I'm going to apply for and was hoping to tap into our members expertise and experience with this card. Hoping it does not get nerfed anytime soon.
How easy is it to transfer your money in the savings account to a different financial institution ? I would be transfering to my local credit union after my points are posted. Is the transfer is fairly quick and easy ?
Also... how quickly do earned points post to your account. Any info. is greatly appreciated. Thank You !
The ACH transfer from their savings is just like any other financial account as it normally takes 2-3 business days. Points post to your rewards balance after your statement closes monthly.
Thanks for the info... Do you know if most people are pretty happy with this card ? Any disappointments ? Looks like an awesome card for everyday spend. Curious what other people's opinions are with the card.
I have this card and find it quite useful in conjunction with the Citi Custom Cash card for the 5% restaurant category. I don't use the 5% gas category as I have other cards to facilitate it, but could in a pinch. The transfers seem to happen pretty quickly as mentioned by @cauerit. No complaints with the card.

don't know if you saw my thread, but linked here if you didn't: https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Approvals/Redstone-FCU-Visa-Signature-Approval-5k/td-p/...
the thing about not being able to choose which card you apply for, I think based on what I've read that's changed now, but not 100% sure
other thoughts:
if you open the savings account and wait a few months, you might get a pre-approval, which means no HP, I didn't have any more than $20 in my savings and no checking/high balances seem to be required to trigger pre-approval offers
still have pre-approval offers even after accepting my card too
$5 minimum to redeem, which is not $25, so that's really nice
took awhile for the SUB to post, that's in the thread I linked somewhere
if you're rather adverse to the risk of the card getting nerfed, wait for the pre-approval and don't eat a HP for it and at the very least you'll get a $150 SUB out of it for no HP
otherwise, it's a top tier cashback card, no question about it

My biggest gripe with the card seems to be a unique situation for me. I purchase my gas mostly from a BJs wholesale, which tends to be the cheapest and I frequently end up passing it while running errands, etc. The Redstone card flags the swipe from these terminals as fraud each time and it often times takes about 15 minutes to receive the alert on my phone to reply that everything is normal on my end (at which point it accepts the swipe). I've called on 3 different occasions to address this with credit card services (appears they service more than Redstone) and they state that it was rejected due to the reader (non-chip) and it will do this each time. I have other cards that never have this issue, yet Redstone's has this issue each time. It essentially renders the card useless as a gas card in my scenario. This is not to say that others will or do have the same issue, it just tends to be a pain for me since I was hoping the card would serve double duty as a Restaurant/Gas card as I intended. The BJs gas station has advertising that contactless payments at the pump are coming, so we shall see.
Thanks for all the good info. I just got my membership done instantly by the live video-chat with the CSR. Anyone from out of state must do it this way. I joined the Association of the United States Army to qualify for credit union membership. The approval / documents took a bit longer than I liked.. but I got instant membership with only a SP. I'm good with that. I'm probably too impatient to wait for the pre-approval... but I do appreciate the advice of waiting for one. I'm okay with a HP right now. I'm stoked to get the card. I'll apply today for the Signature Card. I'll let you know if I'm able to choose which card. Stay tuned... !

If they approve you for less than $5000, then you'll end up with a different card. They only approved me for a $1000 limit, and I had to call and ask them to reconsider and asked for a $10,000 limit and to switch me to the signature visa. They said to make sure not to accept the terms on the email that they had sent with the eDocuments for the $1000 card while they were making their decision. I think it took a day and they approved it.
As for the card, it's my most used card. I started out transferring the money to the Redstone savings and then transferring it to Discover HYSA, but lately I've just been making a payment to the card out of the savings account for whatever I earned that month. The transfers took a few days to show up in Discover savings, but that's the same with any of my other accounts too. Didn't seem slower or faster than any others.
My biggest gripe is that there's no way that I've found to see how close you are to using the max of a particular category. The 5% is capped at $7000 for the year on each category, but the reps that I've talked to say there is no counter that I can see to gauge how close I am to hitting the $7000 limit. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants since I got the card, and I wondered how close I was to tapping that category so I can switch to a different restaurant card when I do. The only thing that I can think of is to check my rewards statement often and make sure that I'm still getting the bonus, but it'd be nice if there was just somewhere that kept track of that.
Now that I'm griping about it, I think I can download all of my transactions to an Excel sheet and sort it by category and figure out where I'm at that way.... I'm off to do that. ![]()

Okay... so I had to choose "apply for a card". I could not select which card. I entered all my info. and then it came to a page that said I was "prequalified" for some different loans... and credit cards. I selected credit cards and was pre-approved for both their traditional Visa and Signature Visa. So I chose signature of course. It stated "chance of approval" as "excllent". I was then approved instantly which was cool. They then send an email to sign yet another document to get the Signature Visa. Was told it will arrive in 7-14 days.
My credit limit : $10,000 (saw somebody post this is the most a new member can get)
APR: 17.25%
I'm a happy camper !!
Now my next question: I'm pre-approved for the Capital One Venture... which I've been wanting for a long time to pair with my Chase Sappire reserve as I think they complement each other great. I'm a mid-tier travel card guy as I don't travel a ton to justify the fees on the CSR or the Venture X (which I already have).
Question... will getting a hard pull today kill my pre-approval that I have right now for the Cap 1 Venture card ??
